Etix Everywhere: ETIX Lyon #1

The ETIX Lyon #1 Data Center is a neutral, secure, and interconnected facility that enhances Etix Everywhere’s footprint across France. By integrating HosTELyon, the data center expands Etix’s network to 13 locations nationwide, providing clients with a robust multisite, sovereign, and eco-friendly offering. Strategically located in Lyon, this facility serves as a key regional hub for interconnection, offering access to over 35 telecom operators. With 120 kW of IT capacity, powered by a 480 kVA incoming power supply, the data center supports per-rack capacities of up to 12 kW, with advanced cooling options for higher density setups. It features two independent power sources (UPS and Distribution Panels) and two diversified supply points, ensuring reliability with a 1.6 PUE and an SLA of up to 99.995% availability.

The cooling infrastructure at ETIX Lyon #1 is designed for efficiency and sustainability, employing an N+1 cooling design, indirect cooling to prevent air mixing, and cold aisle containment to optimize airflow and energy use. Cooling equipment features variable speed technology that adjusts to IT loads dynamically, achieving near-zero Water Use Efficiency (WUE). The facility’s commitment to sustainability is further emphasized through green energy contracts and the repurposing of a former industrial building.

Security at ETIX Lyon #1 is robust, with 24/7 NOC staff monitoring infrastructure, CCTV surveillance at all access points, and dual authentication for critical areas. Advanced fire detection systems, including VESDA early fire detection, and a human-friendly fire suppression system using inert gas, ensure equipment protection with minimal downtime. Proven low-noise extinguishing systems further safeguard sensitive hardware, and a 24/7 service desk provides continuous operational support.

As a carrier-neutral facility, ETIX Lyon #1 offers extensive connectivity options, including two Main Distribution Areas (MMRs) and three points of entry (POEs) with diverse fiber conduits. The facility supports fiber and copper (RJ45) connections and offers cross-connect installation and maintenance managed by the NOC team. Interconnections with other ETIX data centers ensure scalability and flexibility for digital infrastructure strategies.
