Etix Everywhere: ETIX Lille #2

The ETIX Lille #2 Data Center is a neutral, secure, and interconnected facility strategically located in the Hauts-de-France region, near the borders of Belgium and the Netherlands. This positioning makes it a vital crossroads for European trade and connectivity. Situated on a logistics campus, the center serves as the main connectivity hub for the region, seamlessly connecting a large ecosystem of cloud platforms, digital service providers, and businesses. The data center offers 1,500 kW of IT capacity powered by a robust 2,500 kVA incoming supply, supporting per-cabinet capacities of up to 12 kW, with advanced cooling options for higher density needs. The facility features two independent power sources (Gensets, UPS, and Switchboards) and diverse power cable routes, achieving a 1.4 PUE and an SLA of up to 99.995% availability.

Cooling at ETIX Lille #2 is highly efficient, featuring two redundant cooling sources (chillers and CRAH units), indirect cooling to prevent air mixing, and free cooling technology for energy savings. Advanced cooling systems are self-regulating, with variable speeds adjusting to IT loads, and achieve near-zero Water Utilization Efficiency (WUE). The facility employs cold corridor containment to enhance cooling efficiency further while optimizing energy usage. Sustainability initiatives include on-site solar panels generating 190,000 kWh annually, turbocor compressor technology, and ongoing reforestation and heat recycling projects.

Security at ETIX Lille #2 is robust, with 24/7 NOC staff, comprehensive CCTV coverage, and dual authentication for critical areas. The facility is equipped with VESDA early fire detection and a human-friendly fire suppression system using inert gas, minimizing downtime and protecting sensitive equipment. Low-noise extinguishing systems further safeguard servers, while a 24/7 service desk ensures continuous operational support.

As a carrier-neutral facility, ETIX Lille #2 is a major internet traffic hub in Northern France, offering access to 35+ connectivity providers, including international and local telecom operators. The facility features one meet-me-room (MMR), two points of entry (POEs), and diverse fiber pathways, ensuring path diversity and high connectivity availability. The data center also interconnects with other ETIX data centers in the cluster, enabling flexible and scalable infrastructure solutions.
