Etix Everywhere: ETIX Lille #3

The ETIX Lille #3 Data Center is a neutral, secure, and interconnected facility strategically located in the Hauts-de-France region, near the borders of Belgium and the Netherlands. This positioning makes it an ideal hub for European trade and connectivity. As part of ETIX’s Lille cluster, this facility offers disaster recovery solutions and serves as a prime location for hosting proximity or latency-sensitive applications. With 1,860 kW of IT capacity delivered from a robust 2,500 kVA incoming power supply, the center supports up to 12 kW per cabinet, with advanced cooling options for higher density requirements. The infrastructure includes two independent power sources (Gensets, UPS, and Switchboards) and diverse power cable routes, achieving a 1.4 PUE and an SLA of up to 99.995% availability.

Cooling at ETIX Lille #3 is optimized for energy efficiency, featuring two redundant cooling sources (chillers and CRAH units) and indirect cooling to prevent air mixing. The facility also employs free cooling technology, advanced cold corridor containment, and self-regulating cooling equipment, achieving near-zero Water Utilization Efficiency (WUE). Sustainability initiatives include on-site solar panels generating 70,000 kWh annually, reuse of heat to warm generators, and a low-carbon reforestation project. Additionally, waste heat is recycled to provide low-carbon heating to the local community.

Security at ETIX Lille #3 is comprehensive, with 24/7 NOC staff, CCTV surveillance on all access points, and dual authentication for access to critical areas. The facility features VESDA early fire detection and a human-friendly fire suppression system using inert gas, protecting equipment while minimizing downtime. Proven low-noise extinguishing systems add further protection for sensitive infrastructure, while a 24/7 service desk ensures continuous operational support.

As a carrier-neutral facility, ETIX Lille #3 offers access to 15+ local, national, and international connectivity providers. The data center features two meet-me-rooms (MMRs), two points of entry (POEs), and diverse fiber pathways, ensuring maximum connectivity and path redundancy. Clients have the option to use fiber or copper (RJ45) connections, with interconnections to other ETIX data centers enabling scalable and flexible solutions.
