About Den Haag
The Den Haag Data Center is a historic facility situated within an iconic building that stands 133 meters tall, with 37 floors. Constructed in 1960, the building remains a key part of the city's skyline, offering modern data center capabilities despite its vintage architecture. The data center itself spans a total surface area of 380 m², with each data floor covering 40 m². The infrastructure supports 225 kVA of total capacity, providing per-rack capacities between 1 and 20 kVA to cater to a wide range of customer needs. The power supply is delivered through A and B feeds to ensure redundancy, with 230V and 400V available, and 48V on request.
The facility is highly energy efficient, with a PUE of less than 1.2, and is powered entirely by sustainable Dutch wind energy. To maintain optimal conditions, the data center utilizes direct free air cooling, keeping the temperature between 20°C and 27°C on the data floors, and the cold corridor principle is employed to further enhance cooling efficiency. Being carrier neutral, the data center offers clients flexibility in choosing their network providers, and a radio link with a 99.999% uptime guarantee is available for additional connectivity options.
The Den Haag Data Center offers comprehensive security features, including camera monitoring and an intrusion detection system. Access is controlled with personal access passes, with the option for iris scans or facial recognition for heightened security. Separately lockable racks add an extra layer of protection for customer equipment. The facility’s 24/7 service desk, available year-round, ensures that support is always on hand for any operational needs.
