It boasts a total surface area of 385 m², with each data floor covering 77 m². The data center offers a total capacity of 450 kVA, with per-rack capacities ranging from 1 to 20 kVA, ensuring scalability to meet the varying needs of clients. Power is supplied through dual A and B feeds, with 230V and 400V available, and 48V on request for specialized equipment. The center maintains a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of less than 1.2, demonstrating its commitment to energy efficiency.
The data center is 100% powered by sustainable Dutch wind energy, further reducing its environmental footprint. It features direct free air cooling, with data floor temperatures kept between 20°C and 27°C, employing the cold corridor principle to maximize cooling efficiency. The facility is carrier neutral, offering flexibility in choosing network providers, and it also provides the option of a radio link with a 99.999% uptime guarantee.
In terms of security, the Alphen aan den Rijn Data Center features comprehensive camera monitoring and an intrusion detection system. Clients can access the facility with a personal access pass, with options for iris scan or facial recognition for added security. The racks are separately lockable, ensuring that equipment remains secure. A 24/7 service desk is available throughout the year, ensuring any issues can be addressed immediately.
