The Loon op Zand Data Center is a compact and energy-efficient facility designed to meet modern business IT requirements. With a total surface area of 50 m², it provides a dedicated space for critical infrastructure. The center features a total power capacity of 120 kVA, offering 1 to 20 kVA per rack, making it adaptable for varying customer demands. Power is provided via dual A and B feeds, ensuring redundancy and continuous uptime, with 230V and 400V power options, as well as 48V available on request for specific equipment needs.
This facility is committed to sustainability, boasting a PUE of less than 1.2 and running entirely on 100% sustainable Dutch wind energy. The center uses direct free air cooling, maintaining temperatures between 20°C and 27°C on the data floor, while the cold corridor principle ensures efficient cooling performance and reduced energy consumption. As a carrier-neutral data center, it allows flexibility in choosing network providers, and it offers a radio link with a 99.999% uptime guarantee, ensuring reliable and constant connectivity.
The Loon op Zand Data Center features robust security measures, including camera monitoring, an intrusion detection system, and a professional security response team in the event of alarms. Access to the facility is controlled through personal access passes, with additional options for iris scans or facial recognition for enhanced security. Separately lockable racks offer additional protection for client equipment. The data center also provides a 24/7 service desk, available year-round to ensure constant support and operational assistance.
