About KIO TOLUCA (MEX 6)
KIO Toluca (MEX6) is a large data center facility located 52 kilometers from Mexico City that commenced operations in 2008. The facility features four data halls, each with 610 square meters of raised floor space reinforced with anti-seismic pedestals, offering a total power capacity of 2,177 kW. This robust design ensures structural resilience and reliability for mission-critical IT operations.
The data center is equipped with four 1,000 kVA UPS units in a redundant configuration, along with an advanced battery monitoring system to provide uninterrupted and filtered power to all installed equipment. The electrical infrastructure includes 2N distribution from the UPS to the load, supported by four 2,000 kW generators and diesel storage tanks, providing an impressive autonomy of nine days. KIO Toluca (MEX6) also boasts 8 x 900 kW UPS systems and 8 x 2 MW redundant generators, ensuring six days of backup diesel autonomy.
KIO Toluca (MEX6) implements advanced security measures, including biometric access, 24/7 manned security, CCTV monitoring, and multi-zone fire suppression systems. The facility offers carrier-neutral connectivity with direct access to over 10 telecommunications providers. With its Tier III concurrently maintainable design, redundant power and cooling infrastructure, and robust physical and cybersecurity features, KIO Toluca (MEX6) provides a highly resilient and scalable colocation environment for mission-critical IT services.
