KIO Networks: KIO HERMOSILLO 1 (HER1)

KIO Hermosillo 1 (HER1) is a cutting-edge data centre that commenced operations in 2019, featuring Tier III characteristics for high availability. The facility includes seven ATOM computer rooms with a total area of 73 square meters and a height of 2.51 meters from the false floor to the ceiling. These rooms are equipped with rails to facilitate the sliding of racks across the container's width, optimizing space and efficiency.

HER1 boasts a robust electrical infrastructure with 2N redundancy. It is equipped with six 219.6 kVA UPS systems that ensure uninterrupted and filtered power to all installed equipment, complemented by an advanced battery monitoring system. The facility also includes two 600 kW emergency generators with diesel storage tanks, providing 3.5 days of autonomous operation. Energy efficiency is further enhanced through the use of KIO Green renewable energy and a design Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.7.

The data centre offers comprehensive security features, including perimeter fencing, multi-factor access controls, 24/7 manned security, and 90 days of video surveillance storage. It provides carrier-neutral connectivity with major telecom providers, ensuring robust and flexible network options. Additionally, HER1 has advanced fire detection and suppression systems and a redundant cooling infrastructure with a total capacity of 112.5 tons. The facility is PCI DSS compliant and has obtained relevant certifications, making it an ideal hosting solution for businesses requiring a secure, efficient, and high-availability data centre environment.
