Solaria AI Data Center

Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente, a Spanish renewable energy company, has partnered with Japanese technology firm DataSection to develop a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Center in Puertollano, Spain. ​

Key Features of the Solaria AI Data Center:

• Location and Infrastructure: The data center will be housed within Solaria's existing industrial facilities in Puertollano, occupying up to 100,000 square meters. These facilities include "clean rooms" previously used for photovoltaic cell manufacturing, offering high levels of insulation and air quality—ideal conditions for advanced data processing equipment. ​
• Power Capacity: The project plans to utilize up to 200 megawatts (MW) of power, underscoring its capability to handle substantial data processing demands. ​
• Technological Collaboration: DataSection, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, brings expertise in AI and data processing. The company has strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Foxconn and Super Micro, and receives technological support from NVIDIA, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge GPU technology within the data center.
• Economic Impact: The initiative represents an investment of approximately €500 million and is expected to create around 100 direct jobs, contributing to the economic development of the Puertollano region
