This can be a great thing, should you need to remember something you've search for in the past, but can't remember it. For data privacy and security reasons, keeping in mind that these searches are only available to you and those who have access to your Facebook account, this can feel a bit invasive. So, you do have the power to clear your past searches, and here's how to do it in 4 easy steps:
1) Go to your profile page: and in the upper-right-hand corner you'll see a little icon in the shape of a wheel / gear, click on that.
2) Scroll down through the pop-up menu until you get to ""Activity Log"". Click on that and your Activity Log will pop up.
3) On the left-hand side of the page you'll see an icon in the shape of a magnifying glass - this is your Search history, click on it.
4) To erase your search history, look at the upper right-hand corner of the page, and click on the link that reads ""Clear Searches."" This will clear your Facebook search history.
