Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, and VMware, a leading innovator in enterprise software, team up to deliver hybrid cloud solutions to help organizations with their digital transformation. Alibaba Cloud will offer VMware’s hybrid cloud software stack on its cloud infrastructure. The partnership was announced at The Computing Conference 2018 in China’s Hangzhou.

Alibaba Cloud provides a comprehensive suite of cloud computing services to businesses worldwide. The company is the official Cloud Services Partner of the International Olympic Committee.
With the new agreement, Alibaba cloud can combine its scalable cloud infrastructure with VMware's hybrid cloud software portfolio, promising enterprises a great offering. It will provide enterprises with compelling solutions to meet their cloud computing needs including greater flexibility and data deployment options.
According to Alibaba Cloud, the enterprises will be able to easily extend their existing workloads from on-premises data centers to the cloud. Thus, the enterprises can focus on providing their customers with innovative products and services.
VMware, headquartered in Palo Alto, California, provides a dynamic and efficient digital foundation to over 500,000 customers globally, aided by an ecosystem of 75,000 partners. Sanjay Poonen, Chief Operating Officer, Customer Operations, of VMware is confident that the new partnership will bring the power of its hybrid cloud capabilities to a large number of customers.

Alibaba Cloud has also announced a partnership with Intel in the conference. Aligning with Intel, Alibaba Cloud launched a hybrid cloud partnership and an edge computing platform.
