The Belgium DC, located in the vibrant city of Liège, also known as the “Cité Ardente,” is a neutral, secure, and interconnected data center strategically positioned in the heart of the European megalopolis. Interconnected with three data centers in the Lille metropolitan area, this facility provides robust redundancy and synchronous replication solutions, making it an ideal choice for businesses requiring high availability and reliability for their infrastructures. The data center delivers 1,100 kW of IT capacity from a 2,000 kVA incoming power supply, with per-cabinet capacities of up to 12 kW, and advanced cooling options for higher-density setups. Power infrastructure includes three independent sources (Gensets, UPS, and Switchboards) and two diverse cable routes, achieving a 1.3 PUE and an SLA of up to 99.995% availability.

The cooling system at Belgium DC is designed for efficiency and resilience, featuring three independent cooling sources (chillers and CRAH units), indirect cooling to prevent mixing of inside and outside air, and free cooling technology to minimize energy usage. All racks are equipped with cold containment, and advanced cooling equipment adjusts dynamically to IT loads, achieving near-zero Water Utilization Efficiency (WUE). The facility incorporates phased modular architecture to further optimize power usage and scalability.

Security is a top priority at Belgium DC, with 24/7 NOC staff monitoring all infrastructure, comprehensive CCTV coverage, and dual authentication for access to critical areas. The data center is equipped with VESDA early fire detection and a human-friendly fire suppression system using inert gas to protect equipment while minimizing downtime. Proven low-noise extinguishing systems add further protection for sensitive infrastructure, and a 24/7 service desk ensures operational support around the clock.

As a carrier-neutral facility, Belgium DC connects to 15+ local, national, and international connectivity providers. The data center features two meet-me-rooms (MMRs), two points of entry (POEs), and diverse fiber pathways, ensuring maximum path diversity and robust connectivity. Clients can choose between fiber and copper (RJ45) connections, and interconnections with other ETIX data centers enhance scalability and flexibility for IT strategies.
