Digital Realty: Silicon Valley SFO12 Data Center
About Silicon Valley SFO12 Data Center
Originally built as a military tank assembly plant, Digital Realty’s data center at 365 Main Street has a solid steel and concrete construction, extensive security capabilities, and 8.6 MW of critical IT power load. The building earned an “essential facility” designation thanks to an award-winning friction pendulum system upgrade which isolates the base of the building from its floors, ensuring critical operations are maintained during and after a major seismic event.
The carrier-neutral facility at 365 Main Street grants customers access to a world-class data center environment within walking distance of San Francisco’s financial district, with access to major carriers, internet exchanges, and cloud hubs within the region. The meet me room is connected to a neighboring roof with significant line of sight for wireless-enabled applications and service offerings.
