DataBank: SEA1 Downtown Seattle Data Center
About SEA1 Downtown Seattle Data Center
Seattle, also known as the Emerald City, is a hub of technology and innovation. It is home to famous companies like Starbucks, Amazon, and Microsoft, who have created a high demand for colocation facilities in the area. In fact, Seattle is one of the top five cities in the US for job growth in the innovation sector.
Not only is Seattle a leader in the tech industry, but it also boasts a wealth of artificial intelligence and machine learning talent. This pool of resources contributes to the city's culture of innovation and sets industry standards.
DataBank offers two colocation options in the Seattle area. Our downtown Seattle data center (SEA1) uses heat from the cooling system to warm Amazon headquarters, while SeaTac (SEA2) offers a range of convenient amenities such as a loading dock, package service, on-site parking, conference rooms, and office space.
Located near the Westin Hotel, DataBank's SEA1 facility in downtown Seattle is housed in the Westin Building, a carrier hotel interconnection hub. This facility offers a reliable 2N power design, N+2 cooling, and access to multiple carriers, as well as internet, fiber, and cross-connect options. With dual-factor biometric authentication and CCTV, security is a top priority at this facility.
